Find something to like about your colleagues

When dealing with people at work you’ll find that there are people you naturally click with and those that you just keep battling with. Often the reason behind this is that one set of people you like and have things in common with, whilst the others you feel you have no common ground – therefore naturally your work is both more enjoyable and effective with the first set!

So the trick here is to just turn everyone into someone you like that way all your working relationships will be more enjoyable, more profitable and more effective.

Here’s some tips  to help you along;

  • Find something to respect, whether it’s experience, a second language, dress sense or even there differing point of view?
  • Talk and find some common ground; everyone has hobbies outside of work why not find out if any are in common?
  • Share a common experience, whether it’s something embarrassing from a night out or a trip somewhere or something achieved in a sense of comradeship this is a great way to cement a good relationship.
